As a former Research Associate at UCLA's Semel Institute for Neuroscience, John comes from a neuro-psychological background and has over ten years of experience as a mental health professional. He treats a wide range of psychological disorders including anxiety, depression, OCD, and behavioral disorders. Together with therapeutic insights, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and mindful-awareness, he will work to help you overcome insecurities, embrace growth, and maximize your overall wellbeing.

John works with a wide range of mental health issues and provides a highly-personalized approach, tailored to meet each of clients' individual needs. He will collaborate with you to determine therapy goals, and provide psycho-educational materials to help teach coping skills, cognitive-behavioral interventions, mindfulness training, and other techniques.

John received degrees in psychology and philosophy from UCLA and an M.A. in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University, Malibu. His background in philosophy and neuroscience are essential to his work as a psychotherapist, and he draws from various therapeutic approaches including CBT, family systems, Jungian, ABA, mindfulness, and others.

Alex is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who received her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. Cassie holds a Masters Degree from Touro Univ in Marriage and Family Therapy and a BS from Univ Wisconsin. Cassie treats a variety of issues including anxiety, substance use, autism, life transitions, relational challenges, veterans' issues, mood disorders, emotional regulation, and others. She incorporate techniques such solution-focused therapy, ACT, DBT, CBT, mindfulness, and family systems work; equipping clients with practical tools to foster resilience and growth.


Cassie's goal is to provide a compassionate, judgment-free space where you can explore your concerns and build the skills you need to thrive. Whether it’s processing grief, managing stress, improving communication, or finding balance, Cassie will help foster resilience and empower you to create a life that feels fulfilling and aligned with your goals.

Cassie is on track for dual licenses (AMFT #146776 and APCC #16521) and is supervised by associate clinical director Kristen Wallis (LMFT #101201).


Jillian Bourdon MA, AMFT

Associate Therapist

Jillian holds a Masters Degrees from Pacifica Graduate Institute and the Univ of Illinois and a Bachelor's Degree from Univ of Massachusetts. Specializing in a wide range of issues like Anxiety, Relationship Issues, Self-Esteem, Women's Issues and LGBT, Jillian incorporates methods from ACT, Psychodynamic, Somatic along with other therapeutic modalities in her practice.


In session Jillian strives to guide in changing unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior, accepting yourself without shame, and strengthening your relationships while setting healthy boundaries are all possible. She feels all her clients deserve the power to choose who they want to be, rather than letting external pressures decide for you. 


Jillian (AMFT #139704), supervised by associate clinical director Kristen Smith (LMFT #114143), has also been a certified Yoga Teacher since 2018.

Gal Benarush MFT

Associate Therapist

Gal holds a Bachelor's degree from Bryant University in Actuarial Mathematics and a Master's degree from University of Massachusetts Global in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has been working in both the nonprofit field and the world of social media for the last five years. Gal (AMFT #146630) is currently supervised by our clinical director, John Gaspar (LMFT #98738), as she continues to fine-tune her clinical skills in gaining hours towards licensure.


Specializing in Trauma/PTSD, relationship issues and anxiety, Gal works with a variety of issues and populations. She works with individuals, couples, teens and is able to provide therapy in Hebrew to those in the Israeli/Jewish community.


Gal's interests include puzzles, musicals, concerts, reading, and reality television. She loves spending time with her friends and family and meeting new people and hearing their stories.

Georgia holds a Bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University where she studied film and psychology and a Master's degree from Regis University in Mental Health Counseling. Georgia's specialty include low self-esteem and chronic shame, women's empowerment and empowered dating, anxiety, depression, CPTSD, attachment trauma, and escapist or numbing behaviors. Georgia (AMFT #15936) is currently supervised by our clinical director, John Gaspar (LMFT #98738), as she continues to fine-tune her clinical skills in gaining hours towards licensure.


Many people live disconnected from themselves, believing they are deeply flawed and broken. Unresolved trauma and present-day mental health challenges can leave individuals feeling hopeless and deeply insecure. Georgia supports her clients in exploring and challenging these beliefs to help them step into the fullness of who they are. As someone who has walked this path before, Georgia deeply understands the nuanced experience of pain, shame, healing, and growth.

Mariela holds a bachelor degree in Child Development with a minor in Rehabilitation Services and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy with specialization under Trauma Studies and Professional Clinical Counseling.  Mariela’s specialties include families and individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors, trauma, school difficulties, foster care issues, grief, parenting, self-esteem, and other issues. Mariela (AMFT #134318) is currently supervised by our clinical director, John Gaspar (LMFT #98738), as she continues to fine-tune her clinical skills in gaining hours towards licensure.


We all experience different situations in life where we could benefit from a little bit of support and guidance. Mariela chose to become a mental health professional because she saw the need for people to have someone to talk to. Mariela strives to help clients feel prepared to take the next step, whether that’s nurturing small progress or planting seeds for future growth. Mariela brings a playful and positive approach to therapy, meeting my clients where they are at and continually embracing opportunities for growth. Her therapeutic approach emphasizes self-advocacy, rapport-building, shifting negative thought patterns, strength-based interventions, and encouraging emotional expression.

Daniela Fajardo

Office Manager

Daniela holds a Bachelors in Technical Theatre from California State University, Long Beach. She's previously worked as the Group Sales Coordinator for Broadway Sacramento, and most recently prior to Apex as a licensed insurance agent at an insurance brokerage in Stockton, CA.


Daniela's has a strong background is in customer service and truly enjoys working with people. She is the primary point of contact of new and exisiting Apex clients that reach out to the office.


Daniela's interests include singing, attending musicals, watching baseball games and spending time with her dog, Luna.

Hanna Eisenbath

Operations Coordinator

Hanna was born and raised on a farm outside of St. Louis Missouri. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from Missouri State University in acting before moving to LA to pursue a career in the arts. She has worked as an executive assistant for many small businesses in a wide range of industries from interior design to credit management before moving into the mental health world


Hanna assists the office in a wide array of tasks from administrative, insurance claims/contracts, client communication, system operations, etc. She has a strong customer service and organization background from her many years of working in the service industry. Hanna's interests include reading, pilates and going on coffee walks with her friends.

Dan Weinstein, M.A.

Executive Director

Dan brings a background in education, business management, educational therapy and human resources to his role as practice manager. Previously working in private education, Dan brings a wealth of experience in client relations, human resources and operations to his role as executive director. Apex's focus and commitment to helping teens and young adults comes from Dan's passion for serving those groups.

Holding math degrees from UCLA (Bachelors) and Arizona State (Masters) with highest honors, Dan handles billing, insurance, invoicing and scheduling. Outside of work Dan enjoys cooking, trivia, UCLA sports, playing with his cat and traveling. Dan manages the practice remotely from his home in the Pacific Northwest.
