Dan is the Co-Founder and Executive Director at Apex. Dan brings a background in education, business management, educational therapy and human resources to his role as executive director and practice manager. Previously working in private education, Dan brings a wealth of experience in client relations, human resources and operations to his role as executive director. Apex's focus and commitment to helping teens and young adults comes from Dan's passion for serving those groups.
Holding math degrees from UCLA (Bachelors) and Arizona State (Masters) with highest honors, Dan handles billing, insurance, invoicing and scheduling. Outside of work Dan enjoys cooking, trivia, UCLA sports, playing with his cat and traveling. Dan manages the practice remotely from his home in the Pacific Northwest.

Daniela holds a Bachelors in Technical Theatre from California State University, Long Beach. She's previously worked as the Group Sales Coordinator for Broadway Sacramento, and most recently prior to Apex as a licensed insurance agent at an insurance brokerage in Stockton, CA.
Daniela's has a strong background is in customer service and truly enjoys working with people. She is the primary point of contact of new and exisiting Apex clients that reach out to the office.
Daniela's interests include singing, attending musicals, watching baseball games and spending time with her dog, Luna.

Hanna was born and raised on a farm outside of St. Louis Missouri. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from Missouri State University in acting before moving to LA to pursue a career in the arts. She has worked as an executive assistant for many small businesses in a wide range of industries from interior design to credit management before moving into the mental health world
Hanna assists the office in a wide array of tasks from administrative, insurance claims/contracts, client communication, system operations, etc. She has a strong customer service and organization background from her many years of working in the service industry. Hanna's interests include reading, pilates and going on coffee walks with her friends.

About the Founders
Co-founders John and Dan have known each other since high school, where they competed in tennis at rival schools in the Long Beach area. Their paths crossed again at UCLA, where, by pure coincidence, they ended up living on the same floor during their freshman year. Over time, their friendship and shared passion for tennis kept them connected as they began building their respective careers.
Dan went on to establish his successful Academic Training Services business after his math PhD progam, while John pursued a career in clinical psychology. Despite their different professional paths, they stayed in touch through their love of tennis, and eventually, they began kicking around the idea of joining forces to start a business.
With Dan’s proven expertise in running a thriving tutoring business and John’s extensive experience as both a Program Supervisor for a large therapy agency and a private practice psychotherapist, it became clear that launching a therapy business together made perfect sense.
Since its founding in 2020, Apex Therapy Group has been dedicated to providing high-quality therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families. Combining John and Dan’s backgrounds in psychology, client-relations, and business, Apex has built a reputation for delivering effective, compassionate care, tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
